Job Opportunity: Head of Design at Eolas Medical
Location: Belfast and remote
Salary and Compensation: £70,000 - £90,000 + Stock Options

The Role We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Design to help shape the design strategy at Eolas Medical. As the Head of Design, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of design, from product design and user experience to branding and visual communication. You will collaborate closely with our cross-functional team, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of usability and create a powerful visual identity that resonates with our users. This role is ideal for someone with a strong design portfolio, a passion for healthcare innovation, and a proven ability to lead and inspire design teams.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design vision, strategy, and execution across our product. Drive the end-to-end design process, from research and concept development to final design delivery. Ensure a consistent and compelling visual identity across all touchpoints, including product, web, and marketing. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create intuitive and impactful user experiences. Advocate for design excellence and user-centric thinking throughout the company. Conduct and utilise user research and data-driven insights to inform design decisions. Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and industry best practices to keep our products innovative and competitive. Manage multiple design projects, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision. Present and communicate design concepts and strategies to stakeholders at all levels. Qualifications: Ability to work in a fast-moving start-up environment. Extensive experience in product design, UX/UI design, and visual communication. Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design skills, from concept to execution. Expertise in design tools including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite; Webflow is a plus. Deep understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies. A strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating elegant, user-friendly products. Ability to work cross-functionally and balance the needs of different stakeholders. A proactive, self-driven approach with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
