About the Role: As Head of Geography, you will have overall responsibility for leading and managing the department, developing an inspiring and dynamic curriculum, and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
You will be instrumental in driving forward the strategic vision for Geography and supporting students to achieve their best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and support a team of Geography teachers to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
Oversee the development, planning, and delivery of the Geography curriculum across Key Stage 3 and 4. Monitor and evaluate the progress of students and implement strategies to raise achievement.
Foster a positive learning environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for Geography.
Work closely with senior leadership to implement school-wide initiatives and contribute to the wider school development plan.
Lead professional development for the Geography team and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Manage resources and the budget for the department effectively to ensure a high standard of provision.
The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography or a related subject.
Strong experience in teaching Geography at Key Stage 3&4.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
A passion for Geography and a commitment to ensuring students of all abilities reach their full potential.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
