Job Title Head of Delivery Location Glasgow or PrentonSalary - up to 78,000, up to 20% bonus, family health cover and car allowance Flexible Working Pattern Closing Date: 2nd December 2024Help us create a better future, quicker Responsible for leading and developing a multi-disciplined team to operate across all SPEN Licences.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with multiple standards of commercial, network design / security / stewardship, engineering and technical, with strict adherence to the appropriate regulatory licence obligations and safety legislation for the electricity network.
The delivery of the Network Digitalisation portfolio plays a key role in the evolution of SPEN DNO Network Operations towards DSO and TSO.
Through Programme coordination across the Licence delivery programmes to project delivery of the active energy management deliverables in P&T.
Managing a multitude of contract partners and internal SPEN teams to ensure successful completion of the programmes in line with timescales.
Ensuring that robust measures are put in place to optimise the continued operation of all electronic devices through device management, triage and site maintenance across SPEN.
What you'll be doing Deliver approved schemes using the full scope of regulatory buckets to improve network performance, encouraging integration of innovation to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of system performance targets, management of system integrity and delivery of outputs.
Embrace and integrate asset stewardship values through effective network design incorporating sound engineering principles, coordinated planning and local ownership to improve integrity, safety and longevity of the electrical network Work with key stakeholders within and outwith SPEN to deliver programmes of work with efficient solutions ready for handover to BAU adoption.
Develop and maintain a robust and co-ordinated delivery plans which prioritise and balance SPEN objectives with the requirements of all regulatory outputs, industrial and non-industrial workforce planning, outage management, and incentive mechanisms, in line with health and safety legislation.
Deliver business plan outputs in line with financial, regulatory and business plan objectives whilst maximising return through incentive mechanisms.
Accurately report business deliverables in line with Iberdrola and Regulatory requirements.
Support and maintain robust stakeholder and customer relationships on behalf of Scottish Power to facilitate delivery of customer and stakeholder strategic objectives.
Compliance with IBE/SPEN processes and procedures in line with business codes of practice.
Liaise with Licence leads to allow for the effective management of the wider license objectives.
Develops and promotes an exemplary safety culture and ensures that all safety legislation is implemented and delivered through all design/planning activities.
To lead and manage teams to ensure each individual's potential is fully developed and inspire a culture that ensures the delivery of business outputs.
What you'll bring Degree in electrical, electronic or telecommunication engineering OR relevant experience OR HND/HNC (or equivalent) supported by minimum of five years post-training experience in an engineering role within a utility business > 3 years' experience managing teams Project management skills.
Numerate and able to deal with finances for the purposes of managing budgets or contracts with suppliers.
Knowledge of Energy Networks health & safety requirements and compliance.
Must be a proven team player to work, promote and consolidate efficient team working relationships.
Driving licence and ability to travel between sites.
