Head of Compliance & MLRO (EMI Payments)Location: Remote - with occasional travel to London
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Head of Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to join their team in the UK.
This role is integral to the success of their operations in the UK, working closely with various departments including Legal, Payments, Finance, Risk, Internal Audit, Product, and Sales and Marketing.
The successful candidate will drive the implementation of compliance controls, processes, and required operations under regulatory and AML/CTF programs.
This role offers remote work flexibility anywhere within the United Kingdom.
What you'll do: Drive a culture of compliance across the businessBuild relationships with relevant authorities and regulatorsOversee operations of the UK Compliance teamEnsure accurate responses and reports to the RegulatorWork with Compliance leads to provide strategic planning, organisational structure, focus areas, and quarterly goals and key resultsConduct compliance review and analysis of new regulatory developmentsPrepare reports to senior management to communicate all relevant compliance issuesDevelop AML and financial crime processes that reflect business and regulatory requirementsFacilitate risk-based Know Your Customer and Transaction Monitoring programmesWhat you bring: 8+ years of experience in a complex financial services firm or related e-money/payments industry5+ years of people management experienceOperational knowledge in building and running a sound compliance programmeDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management and third-party stakeholdersExperience with data visualisation tools is an advantageWhat sets this company apart: Our client is a global technology company focused on financial services.
