About the role: The Head of Community is a newly created role in Liquidity for a natural networker who is energised by creating connections and unique and memorable experiences in the VC and tech industry.
This is a dynamic and cross-functional role working across multiple business units of Liquidity, including Origination, Marketing, Strategy and the Financial Institutions Group.
You will lead Liquiditys global community engagement strategies on and offline, playing a crucial role in enhancing our brand presence and impact on the international stage.
As an integral member of the team, you will be expected to manage multiple complex projects and priorities central to the companys continued growth and success.
This role will be based in our London office, overseeing our global community and social media initiatives.
This role will be particularly focused on building and nurturing a thriving global ecosystem of founders, investors, and partners across our key markets.
Projects will include (but are not limited to) designing and executing international events, creating engaging content for our newsletter and social media, fostering strategic partnerships and analysing community and online performance metrics.
The Head of Community will work directly with the VP Strategic Comms and Chief Strategy Officer, and will partner with Liquidity business leads/operational functions to drive community engagement and brand awareness, providing significant opportunity for professional development within this role.
Responsibilities: Design and implement comprehensive global community and social media strategies aligned with Liquidity Groups mission and goalsPlan and execute an international calendar of unique and memorable high-impact events, including flagship networking receptions, roundtables, dinners and sporting eventsDrive our global event strategy, helping to identify relevant opportunities for participation or partnershipCreate and curate engaging, platform-specific content for our newsletter and social media channelsFoster international partnerships with key service providers, venture capital firms, and other ecosystem players to enhance our value propositionAnalyse and synthesise community and social media metrics to produce actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders and senior leadershipManage day-to-day social media operations, including content calendars, post scheduling, and community engagementEffectively manage and prioritise across multiple projects, balancing strategic focus with tactical implementationCommunicate strategic priorities and execution plans across the firm via presentations, meetings, and written communicationsDevelop and maintain industry and competitive intelligence related to community-building and social media trendsDrive a collaborative and supportive working environment, actively seeking out opportunities to develop team membersQualifications: 7+ years of combined experience in community management, event planning and social media strategy (preferably in venture capital or tech)Proven track record of planning and executing large-scale events (100+ attendees)Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, well-organised, including strong writing abilitiesTrack record of identifying opportunities, relationship building and creative thinkingStrong understanding of social media best practices, trends and analytics toolsTeam player mentality, collaborative mindset and eagerness for continuous learningDrive for results and ability to perform well under pressure against tight deadlinesProficient in social media management tools, Microsoft Office suiteFluency in English; additional language skills are a plusWillingness to travel frequently (up to 30% of the time) to oversee events and build relationships in key marketsExperience working at a high-growth startup/tech company - an advantageExperience in Venture Capital - an advantageFamiliarity with social listening tools and community management platforms - an advantage J-18808-Ljbffr
