About the Role:
As Head of Communications, you'll bring AG Barr's story to life – both internally and externally.
This is a high-profile, people-focused role, combining strategic leadership, team management, and hands-on delivery.
From energising the workforce to managing corporate media relations, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping AG Barr's communications strategy and ensuring their brands remain at the heart of communities across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver an employee communication strategy that celebrates success and keeps employees connected.
Oversee corporate media relations, lead on major business change communications, and handle crisis management with care and expertise.
Champion the evolution of digital communication tools (e.g., websites, intranet, and social platforms) to enhance engagement.
Introduce fresh, creative approaches to communication, driving continuous improvement.
Strengthen AG Barr's partnerships with charities and communities while overseeing corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience:
You'll bring extensive experience in senior communications roles, with expertise in media relations and strategic messaging.
You will have worked across external and internal communications.
Passionate about finding new ways to engage, with experience in modern communication tools (e.g., Canva, CMS platforms, Vimeo, etc.).
Strong line management experience, building trusted relationships across all levels of a business.
A detail-oriented approach with experience in budget and project management.
Relationship-Driven: A confident and approachable communicator who can connect with stakeholders internally and externally.
