About This Opportunity
We are offering you the unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the UK's largest consumer finance provider. You will be responsible for leading the team to maximise demand generation and optimise individual customer pricing across our four brands – Lloyds, Halifax, BoS and MBNA – and via our own and third-party digital channels, delivering fair value for customers and ensuring responsible lending within risk appetite.
What Does the Job Entail? Leading and developing a high-performing commercial performance team through stretching performance objectives, constructive feedback and coaching.Responsibility for the Loans 'Best in Class' pricing strategy. Delivering front-book margin plan, optimising individual customer pricing across all brands using advanced analytics pricing models, navigating pricing approvals secured from Loans Director and/or CEO Consumer Lending.Extensive market knowledge and awareness – making recommendations from your insight to shape the Loans commercial agenda.Strong interpersonal skills to maximise demand generation, leveraging and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships – including our third-party suppliers.Ultimately responsible for the maintenance of commercial risk and customer outcome controls, ensuring product and pricing delivers fair value to customers and that commercial decisions are within credit risk appetite.Ownership and maintenance of an accurate view of front-book profitability, including funding cost via hedging process with Treasury, expected loss rates via Credit Risk, cost and capital assumptions via Finance and CRDIV programme.Leadership of Trading and Pricing performance reviews, including Consumer Pricing Committee updates, ensuring the maintenance of an accurate commercial performance MI suite.Ownership of business and market forecasts, including lending, balance sheet, market share and margin outlook.What You'll Need Strong people leadership and interpersonal skills – you will inspire and empower an inclusive team, be able to stretch, coach and develop to improve performance and provide a great team environment.Commercial acumen – leading the team to maximise commercial performance, with a clear understanding of financial metrics and performance drivers.Critical thinking – constantly challenging your own, and your team's, assumptions to evaluate solutions and determine the best course of action for customers and shareholders.Data insights and storytelling – guiding the team to extract customer and performance insights from customer-level datasets, simplifying the complex to be an effective storyteller and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.Ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation, including the Group Executive Committee (GEC).An intellectually curious outlook, where you seek to innovate and adapt quickly from setbacks.Benefits A generous pension contribution of up to 15%An annual performance-related bonusShare schemes including free sharesBenefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping30 days' holiday, with bank holidays on topA range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policiesJoin Us
