Job summary INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES Head of Clinical Effectiveness An opportunity has arisen to take on the role of Head of Clinical Effectiveness in the newly restructured Quality Governance team.
The Clinical Effectiveness team are part of the Chief Nurse portfolio working very closely with the Executive Medical Director and his team.
The postholder will support the Deputy Chief Nurse for Safety and Governance with Clinical Audit, NCEPOD and NICE guidance assessment as well providing senior leadership across the Quality Governance teams.
Main duties of the job The Head of Clinical Effectiveness is a senior professional manager within the Trust's Quality Governance team.
This role works integrally with the Deputy Chief Nurse Safety and Governance, the Head of Compliance and Risk and the Head of Patient S and closely with the Executive Chief Nurse and Executive Medical Director and team.
The Head of Clinical Effectiveness is critical to ensuring that the quality of our services is delivered against agreed standards.
The successful candidate will spearhead crucial improvements in patient care and patient outcomes.
This role offers a chance to make a real impact, leading audits and driving practice enhancements based on the latest evidence.
The Head of Clinical Effectiveness is a senior leader responsible for operational management of the Clinical Audit and Effectiveness function.
The postholder will also develop systems and processes to ensure that we have an in-depth understanding of patient outcomes via local audits and national programmes including, but not limited to, M&M, PROMS, NJR, ICNARC, SJR and utilisation of CRAB data.
You will have a passion for maximising the quality of our care through an evidence-based approach to improvement.
A key requirement will be the ability to influence clinical practice across service provision, therefore the ability to operate in a matrix structure is essential.
You will be working closely with the Executive Chief Nurse and Executive Medical Director and their teams.
