We are recruiting a Head of Capital Delivery and Assets to play a crucial role in developing service strategies, optimising service processes and performance, identifying areas for improvement, working collaboratively across directorates to achieve the required outcomes aligned to the Councils HRA business plan, and LBBD objectives borough wide.

As a member of the extended management team, the Head will work collaboratively across their department and with other Heads of Service and Directors. Their primary responsibility is overseeing the management and optimisation of all tangible assets owned or operated by the authority, including those which support the residents of the borough, the Council and our commercial portfolio. The experienced head will oversee and manage the delivery of the Commercial, Corporate Landlord and Residential Landlord services across the Asset Management function within the Housing and Environment and Communities Directorate (HEC).

This includes but is not limited to infrastructure, buildings, land, equipment, and other physical assets crucial to the functioning and development of the community. Ensuring all legislative, Strategic, and financial responsibilities are managed for the Assets Service. The Head will ensure Health & Safety compliance are monitored, risk assessed and resolved, in line with appropriate legislation, good practice, guidance and SLA's. Considering the Health and Safety Standards for Stock (HHSRS) including Fire, Occupational Health, Safety Risk Assessments, Damp/Mould, and Condensation issues.
Special requirements for this postYou will have substantial experience of managing and delivering Strategic Asset Delivery and Management in Social Housing, LA's and/or Housing Associations sectors. To be experienced in designing, planning, managing, and delivering Asset Management Strategies within a LA and / or Housing sector. Experience of reviewing and developing Strategic Asset Delivery and Management Services in Social Housing, LA's and/or Housing Associations sectors.
About youYou are a talented and dynamic professional who will work closely with a wide stakeholder group spanning public, private and voluntary/community sector partners across London. You should have experience of multi-agency working and bring proven organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage competing operational priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital to convey complex information clearly and efficiently, building effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
