Head of Business Development Salary: £57,500 per annum Location: Flexible within England and Wales, with regular travel to various sites Our client Our client is a pioneering national charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by the criminal justice system, including prisoners, people with convictions, and their families.
Their mission spans every stage of the criminal justice process—from court proceedings to prison support, release, and community reintegration.
With over 120 years of service, they advocate for a justice system rooted in restoration and healing, emphasising rehabilitation and valuing the inherent dignity of every person.
Their diverse team operates across courts, prisons, probation services, and communities throughout England and Wales, collaborating to create sustainable solutions that promote societal well-being.
The Role As the Head of Business Development, you will lead their growth and innovation efforts, focusing on securing sustainable income, developing strategic partnerships, and identifying funding opportunities that align with their vision.
Engaging with commissioners and key stakeholders in the justice and health sectors, you will create pathways for transformative impact.
Key Responsibilities - Leadership & Strategy: Lead and inspire a dynamic team, driving the business development strategy to meet income targets and support growth objectives.
- Income Generation & Partnership Building: Actively engage in bid writing, partnership development, and cultivating relationships with commissioners and funders.
- Team Management: Oversee and develop the Business Development team, formulating plans to maximise income from targeted services, including Family and Significant Others Services, Prison Education, and NHSE initiatives.
- Business Development Delivery: Manage bids, secure funding, and expand services within the justice and community sectors.
- Strategic Development & Networking: Represent the organisation at key events and collaborate with executive colleagues to ensure their mission is effectively achieved.
