With an impressive diverse portfolio spans cutting-edge urban design, commercial, cultural, and residential projects on an international scale, they are continuing to grow and expand into new markets, we are looking for a dynamic Head of Bids to lead our strategy for securing prestigious new projects and partnerships.
The Role As Head of Bids , you will be a key member of our senior leadership team, responsible for driving the business development strategy and leading high-profile bid efforts.
You will work closely with the C-suite, Communications Director as well as cross-functionally with other senior stakeholders to identify and secure opportunities that align with their vision and goals in the UK and EMEA region.
This is a pivotal role for someone with a passion for the architecture industry or built environment and a proven track record of winning large, complex bids in a creative environment.
Key Responsibilities: Bid Strategy: Develop and execute a winning bid strategy, ensuring alignment with the practice's vision and business objectives.
Leadership: Manage and mentor the bid team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Bid Development: Lead the preparation of compelling, high-quality bids, overseeing all aspects from initial opportunity identification through to submission.
Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, collaborators, and partners, ensuring the practice is at the forefront of new opportunities.
Market Insight: Monitor trends and opportunities in the architecture and construction sectors, positioning the practice as a leader in competitive bids.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with design teams, marketing, and senior leadership to ensure a unified approach to proposals and presentations.
Performance Reporting: Track bid success rates, provide regular updates to the leadership team, and continuously refine the approach to improve outcomes.
Requirements: Experience: Proven experience in bid leadership within the architecture, engineering, or construction sectors, ideally within a high-profile or large-scale architectural practice.
Strategic Mindset: Strong strategic thinking with the ability to foresee and capitalize on new opportunities.
Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for creating persuasive, client-centric bid documents.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the architecture industry, with insight into market trends and the bidding landscape.
Commercial Acumen: Strong financial and commercial awareness, with experience developing winning commercial proposals.
Results-Driven: A track record of success in winning bids, with an ability to manage multiple high-value opportunities simultaneously.
