Job Requisition ID: 125951

Salary Range: £124,653 - £181,610

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our strategic hubs (Edinburgh, Bristol or London).

Boldly pursuing our ambition, we strive to be the leading internal audit function and seek your assistance in developing the most innovative and effective practice.
We start from a strong position of having invested heavily in native cloud platforms and being conformant with the new International standards – but "good enough" is not good enough for us.
If you're an innovator, a boundary pusher, and a change agent – we want you, and we'll give you the support, investment, and reassurance to lead the industry.

About this Opportunity As LBG's Head of Audit Quality, Method & Platforms, you will lead the development and embedding of a world-class audit methodology.
This will be supported by industry-leading technology to increase the productivity and effectiveness of auditors.
Critically you will drive the AI revolution into all aspects of Internal Audit practice, redefining how auditors risk assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the outcomes and impact of their work in LBG to deliver on our aspiration to be the leading internal audit function.

You will also be responsible for the independent quality assurance of audit and supporting activities – holding colleagues and leaders to account for delivering effective, efficient, and high-quality audits, and deploying the potential of AI to evaluate and improve quality of work throughout the lifecycle.

Assume responsibility for the method, the supporting systems, and the assurance of quality collectively to establish a "virtuous circle" of continuous improvement.
This will involve incorporating insights from quality assurance to improve methodology, mentorship, training, and tooling promptly.

You'll apply a deep understanding of the audit process, relevant standards and regulations, and the interconnectivity of the three lines of defence to work closely with 1st and 2nd line of defence leaders in the transformation of risk management and culture across Lloyds Banking Group.
You'll use your understanding and experience to influence positive change which leads to overall sustainable improvements in risk management through your insightful contribution to the wider lines-of-defence strategy and community.

You'll build trust, respect, and confidence among colleagues across the function to develop strong relationships and higher levels of collaboration, including management of a multidisciplinary team, and will proactively identify areas to add strategic and sustainable value for the organisation and for our customers.

What Are We Looking For? We're looking for a bold and innovative leader with vision, who turns ideas into action rapidly, learns and fails fast, and takes colleagues and stakeholders along with them.

Whilst you will be individually highly capable, you will deliver most effectively as part of a team-of-teams to achieve the best outcomes and make a positive difference to the Group and its customers.
You will cut through hierarchy, silos, and bureaucracy with a relentless focus on helping Group Audit & Conduct Investigations to be the very best it can be in service of our wider Group and Customers in support of the ultimate purpose of Helping Britain Prosper.

Responsibilities: Own and continuously improve the Group Audit Methodology and ways of working.
Lead the development of best practices in audit delivery, ensuring ongoing conformance with relevant standards and regulations. Oversee the effective running of the GA&CI Platform team, an "in-business" team of data and software engineers who are responsible for the development of the core Audit platform. Own and be responsible for the execution of the GA&CI Quality Assurance and Improvement Plan. Work in close collaboration with the Data Science and AI team to enable their industry-leading work on data analytics and the development of AI solutions for GA&CI. Maintain relationships with stakeholders including senior executives and work collaboratively with colleagues across the function, First and Second Lines of Defence. Promote and role model the Group's values to drive cultural transformation. Capabilities You'll Need: Leading Teams Team & Community Building: Motivates and inspires colleagues around a common goal. Safety & Trust Building: Creates a safe environment for innovation that cultivates a 'fail fast and learn' culture. Prioritisation & Delegation: Instils trust to motivate independent working and empowers teams to shape and drive their own portfolios, coaching as required. Performance & Goal Management: Coaches for high performance, guiding colleagues to take ownership of performance and development. Coaching & Feedback: Acts as a trusted advisor and provides insightful, motivating, and strategic thoughts and ideas and leads people to the solution rather than 'telling'. Project & Programme Delivery The ability to deliver process and technological change effectively in a complex environment, to drive through novel solutions that often mean being the first adopter.

Business Strategy The ability to understand and interpret Group and Business Unit Strategy and connect audit delivery and business monitoring insights to such strategies at the Macro level.

Data Literacy, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence The ability to analyse, understand, and communicate data as information, to use data to drive effective outcomes; design and lead the deployment of technology and find opportunities to use AI solutions to automate work, simplify tasks and derive greater insights.

Managing Self Prioritising your work and that of others effectively to ensure timely and beneficial delivery.
Understanding the critical path for delivery and removing obstacles; planning and preparing to ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively.
Taking ownership for personal development and growth, and accountability for one's work and behaviours.
Ability to understand and handle different situations, roles, and teams with adaptability.
