Hutcheon Mearns have the exciting opportunity to join our rapidly growing team as Head of Accounting Services to join our team in Glasgow to lead the development of our Accounting Services division in the region.
Following a significant period of growth across the business, the company is looking for a highly driven, commercially savvy and ambitious individual who will also support the wider business roll out in a senior capacity with the opportunity to develop into a wider managing role for the office.
The onus of this role is to drive the strategic direction of the Accounting Services team in the Glasgow market. This role would be part of the Hutcheon Mearns Senior Management team and would have two main focusses; development and management of the Specialist and wider Accounting Services teams whilst acting as liaison with clients and targets to ensure effective and profitable relationships. Our Accounting services teams are practice trained and industry qualified accountants who support companies with interim finance cover and finance project support.
Overview
Financial responsibility for the Interim Specialist division including: preparation of Budgets, analysis of budget v actual performance, establishing Specialist rates and negotiating these with clients and maintaining strong utilisation levels for the wider team Undertaking targeted business development to build relationships with companies for both Specialists and the wider Hutcheon Mearns business Undertaking client proposals, contracting, fee discussions, management of client services and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication Assessing client onboarding including KYC to ensure client work can proceed without unnecessary risk Ensuring effective cash flow through timely invoicing approval and credit control management Supporting the Interim Specialist, Outsourced Finance and Insights team as required: assignment planning, technical support, holidays, training and development and appraisal management Driving the growth of the team through identifying suitable new team members, interviewing, negotiating packages and arranging offer and recruitment via HR. Working with HR to oversee any changes to contractual arrangements Working alongside the other service line heads to offer a high quality product to Hutcheon Mearns clients Considering new strategic opportunities through liaison with the Managing Director - Specialists around new service lines and geographical locations Ability to undertake financial project assignments as required To discuss this opportunity in more detail, please submit your CV for consideration.
