You will lead a team of 3 kitchen porters and provide the backbone to the craft team who can only excel with your support and dedication.You will play a vital role in shaping the back of house support for our hospitality, breakfast, lunch, and supper for our students, staff & visitors and ensuring that our dining services continue to be a pillar of our school community.
You will support our chefs in the daily preparation and service of food, maintain hygiene standards, and contribute to a positive dining experience.What you'll do:Work to Food, Health & Safety standards at all timeTo check kitchen for cleanliness, safetyBasic food preparation if required.Washing up, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areasUnloading and putting away deliveriesEmptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors, including loading bay and outside bin areaEnsuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly.Deep cleaning fridges and storerooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standard.
Good oral communicationAttention to detail.Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes.Positive and approachable mannerTeam player qualitiesAdhere to all health and safety regulations and food safety standards.What you bring:Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role, preferably in a school or large-scale food service environment.A passion for food and food service, coupled with a desire to contribute to a positive dining experience for students and staff.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.An understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.Flexibility and a willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends.What we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to?be part of something greater.
