The Place Xpress is delighted to be working with a global brand-acquired boutique hotel that is establishing itself as an outstanding hospitality venue, driving a reputation based on supplying outstanding locally sourced fresh sea and land produce all within 25 miles of the property.
The property itself is set in an idyllic location within the highlands of Scotland.
Our client is now looking to attract a Head Chef to assist the Senior Management team in achieving outstanding awards and accolades for cooking a fresh local seasonal menu as part of the business being repositioned for growth and expansion from 2025 onwards.
The Job As Head Chef it will be your joint responsibility to grow and establish the overall Food concept!
Building upon the solid foundations that have been established over the last generation!
As Head Chef you will be expected to bring your own flair to the operation, the restaurant has a strong Scottish produce theme and following so this would be something that any newly appointed Head Chef would need to be able to understand and enhance as part of the overall Menu Concept The owners are committed to a Kitchen establishment that is known for quality and value over volume, poor service and poor quality.
As Head Chef you would be fully expected to be an outstanding ambassador for the operation, your duties and responsibility will clearly be to manage and run all agreed financial budgets, train and develop all personnel to the highest levels ensure that all health and safety standards are being complied with.
Accolades and recognition on the wider landscape would be something that the owners would be looking for this Kitchen Ambassador to be striving for as the business grows and expands.
The Person we are after Working in a rural community will not be every persons cup of tea!
However, given that over the last wee while, many individuals are refocusing on Work-Life balance this might well suit someone who wants to establish themselves and perhaps live in a rural yet growing community, where working with a strong locally based operation with a well-established reputation who care about their people and in turn working in an open and transparent manner with their suppliers makes life for everyone much more enjoyable.

As an applying candidate, you must be able to show a sound and robust Kitchen track record within your cv highlighting stability and growth coupled with quality and achievements, your own style of food and the types of establishments you have been currently working to date.
We are looking at Chefs that have been delivering 2 rosette standard as a minimum, as of late.
Own transport is essential.
