Job Title: Head Chef Salary: £28,462 - £36,432 Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and dynamic individual to join the team as a Head Chef.
This exciting role combines culinary expertise with food and beverage management to oversee all aspects of our dining and beverage operations.
The ideal candidate will be a creative and experienced chef with a passion for food, a flair for menu innovation, and a strong background in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities: Culinary Leadership: Plan, design, and execute innovative menus that reflect our brand, customer preferences, and market trends.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising staff, food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards as per local health regulations.
Manage inventory and procurement of food supplies and kitchen equipment, ensuring cost control and minimising waste.
Oversee all food and beverage operations and ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and control food and beverage costs, develop budgets, and analyse financial performance to meet revenue and profitability goals.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, source quality products, and manage relationships.
Staff Management and Development: Recruit, train, and develop both kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring high standards of service and culinary expertise.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to enhance skills and career growth.
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, motivation, and staff development.
Customer Service and Quality Control: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining consistent quality in food, service, and overall dining experience.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Develop initiatives to improve guest satisfaction, drive sales, and promote customer loyalty.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all food and beverage operations comply with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, bar, and dining areas to maintain cleanliness and organisation.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
Strong background in food and beverage management, including budget management, cost control, and financial analysis.
In-depth knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and deliver high-quality results.
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in inventory management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
