An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Head Chef to join a country pub in Cheshire and lead the kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and restaurant management, with a passion for food safety and quality.
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and production while fostering a positive and efficient working environment.
As the Head Chef you will be responsible for: Leading and managing the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
Developing and designing innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
Implementing and maintaining food safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Training, supervising, and mentoring kitchen staff, promoting professional development within the team.
Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitoring kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.
The Head Chef will have the following skills and attributes: Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the culinary or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers alike.
A passion for food production and a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences.
