Supported Living Care Assistant Your New Company:
A supported living organisation located in the Swansea, Neath, and Port Talbot areas, providing a range of care and support services for individuals with learning and/or physical disabilities, some of whom have additional health needs.
The organisation is committed to promoting the rights, interests, and dignity of the people they support.
Your New Role:
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team providing essential care and support.
No previous experience or qualifications are necessary as comprehensive training will be provided.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting personal and physical care needs.
Managing and administering medication.
Assisting with daily living tasks.
Managing tenancy agreements and security.
Maintaining accurate records.
Attending health appointments and liaising with external professionals.
Supporting individuals in activities that promote health and wellbeing, such as arts and crafts, sports, social events, and holidays.
What You Will Need To Succeed: A commitment to training and personal development.
Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to support individuals in a flexible and safe environment.
Domestic skills including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
Commitment to achieving relevant qualifications and standards.
Desirable: Ability to communicate in Welsh, a non-judgemental attitude, ability to remain calm in stressful situations, a full and valid driver's license with Business Class 1 vehicle insurance, and flexibility to work various hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
