Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Frodsham-based single form entry primary school that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking for a competent and motivated teaching assistant to support the KS2 classes and offer 1:1 support to pupils with EAL.
This is a long-term contact starting from January.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting all KS2 classes, supporting the class teacher with general classroom and behaviour management by promoting a safe, inclusive and accessible learning environment.
You will offer intervention and booster sessions in all core subjects as required on a 1:1 and small group basis, ensuring that all pupils reach their full academic potential.
As several pupils across KS2 have EAL, you will offer additional provision to promote their understanding of the English language and their social and emotional development.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years, as well as:
Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions An ELSA qualification or experience supporting EAL An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential What you'll get in return
