The Harness Inspector role is responsible for ensuring that all products leaving the production department match the specification and completing relevant documentation.
Key Responsibilities Ensuring that the product meets customer's requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues.
Reporting quality issues data, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages.
Carrying out product tests and thorough independent final inspection of finished assemblies to defined procedures, formally reporting all defects.
Ensuring all associated documentation is received, completed and stored in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to all BMS requirements.
Responsible for checking, progressing, and collating accurate build and inspection records.
Goods Inwards, and Production line Quality support activities.
Inspecting all components and all stages of the manufacturing process as required.
Support and participate in process improvement activities.
Alerting the Quality Assurance department of ongoing problems and delivering resolutions.
Ensures Environmental Health & Safety policy is always adhered to.
Promotes Environmental Health & Safety awareness.
Responsible for adhering to EHS procedures & policies to ensure compliance.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Proven experience in end of line inspection.
Demonstrable experience in harness manufacture.
Familiar with Motorsport System 25 specification/standard.
Familiar with Cirris cable and harness tester Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office and applications (i.e.
MS Excel, MS Power Point, SharePoint Online).
High attention to detail.
Self-motivated, creative and adaptive.
Willingness to take on roles, responsibilities and challenges required to achieve company goals and objectives.
Excellent problem definition and analytical skills.
Able to Prioritise and organise project workloads, schedules and tasks.
Ability to multitask based on customer scheduled delivery priorities.
Organised, persuasive, resourceful, flexible, ambitious, self-directing, passion for delivering objectives, comfortable challenging existing processes.
Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external clients Must be a team player.
Desirable Ability to program Cirris cable and harness tester.
Awareness of automotive OEM manufacturing and quality processes.
Experience with Low Volume / Prototype build manufacturing System or Knowledge.
