Job Role: Handyman/ Caretaker Location: AL1, St Albans Job Type: Long term Temp, potential for a Permanent opportunity Working Hours: Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm Weekly pay, one week in arrears About the Role: R9 Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a reputable Junior School based in AL1.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
Oversee security of the school buildings and grounds.
Manage waste disposal and recycling.
Conduct regular health and safety checks.
Respond promptly to any maintenance issues or emergencies.
Liaise with external contractors when necessary.
Requirements: Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
