Job Title: Hair and Beauty Tutor Location: 3 Dimensions School, Chard Salary: £19,200 per annum (not pro rata) Hours: 24 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm Contract: Permanent, Part-Time; Term Time only UK applicants only.

As a Hair and Beauty Tutor, you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education.

You will prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, with plenty of hands-on experience.
You will take responsibility for their emotional and physical needs, supporting them to develop as individuals and engage with the world.
Supporting pupils with complex needs is important and rewarding work, and you will benefit from the tremendous support offered by our hugely experienced teams.
As you help our pupils achieve real and significant progress, you will enjoy having a direct, positive impact on their developing lives.
Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive hair and beauty lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
Develop individualised learning plans and adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
Provide hands-on instruction in hair cutting, styling, colouring, skincare, makeup application, and other beauty treatments.
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed during practical sessions.
Organise and supervise practical assessments and examinations.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications Relevant qualifications in hairdressing, beauty therapy, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is desirable.
Experience working with SEN students is highly preferred.
