This is a pivotal role working from our London office alongside reinsurance brokers and the GRS executive. The role requires a high performing individual with business acumen, stakeholder leadership skills, and the ability to streamline processes to enhance efficiency, profitability and growth. The successful candidate will liaise with key collaborators, fostering strong and effective relationships, to support the business in meeting its strategic objectives.
What the day will look likeWorking in partnership with the GRS business. This strategic role requires a working understanding of the following areas within our GRS business:
new business planning,client planning,business intelligence & market analysis,budgeting and annual planning,market sizing, penetration, and opportunity analysis.Key objectives of this role are to:Enhance discipline within the business in relation to key operational processes, including revenue gathering, budgeting (e.g. supporting client teams to plan their revenue year, documenting the anticipated renewals, pipeline items and rebate discussions, which will drive efficacy of revenue planning at the client level and the robustness of pipelining activity.Bring symmetry to the reporting practices associated with the processes above, such as drawing QBR packs together and collaborating closely with each client team on required inputs.The role provides a point of liaison between client teams and operations colleagues to ensure placements are finalised and invoiced. The post holder will champion and press for good practice in the team; ensuring revenue forecasts and pipeline items are updated promptly and accurately, transaction/rebate discussions are recorded robustly and that finance/operations are aligned. This will be achieved through an informed and robust planning process to set team strategy across products, lines of business and geographies.
The impact of the role will be seen in more robust planning, real-time team metrics and the earliest resolution and payment of invoices in support of Working Capital.
Skills and experience that will lead to successStrategy & planning – support GRS leadership in the building of revenue targets across products lines and teams. Support annual market sizing and penetration analysis. Work with client teams to marry data-driven and insightful views to form a team consensus.Account planning – support account executives to plan and implement growth across a varied client base in the reinsurance property market.Management – lead and support delivery of the revenue strategy for the GRS team. Responsible for overseeing processes, working with account teams to ensure good practices are maintained.New business pipelining – support team leadership and account teams to pursue new business. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date new business funnel to support resource allocation and opportunity prioritisation.Budgeting – support the annual budgeting process, working with team leadership and client executives to build a detailed plan for the year.Renewal tracking – proactively supervising team performance against plan throughout key renewal periods.Team revenue reporting – provision of timely, accurate and comprehensive revenue reporting to team and business leadership.Operations support – influence effective coordination and collaboration between the business, ABS and Finance to help deliver accurate invoicing and revenue recognition across the team.Strategic projects – support leadership and management to deliver special projects and analysis relating to team performance.About youWell-developed interpersonal skills and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with leadership and senior management.Ability to work well independently, within a team, and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, often with conflicting priorities.Strong organisation and prioritisation skills; checking processes, data, and tasks to ensure accuracy.Inspires commitment and action in others to deliver. Actively seeks opportunities to resolve inefficiency and implement solutions.+ 3 years previous experience within a similar role with evidence of successful outcomes.Proven experience in working as a liaison between technical and business areas.
