Job Profile: As Group Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in steering the technical direction of land acquisitions and development projects.
In this senior-level position, you will oversee technical assessments, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide strategic guidance on project feasibility, risk management, and cost optimisation.
This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of regulatory standards and industry best practices who can drive high-stakes projects from concept through execution.
Duties: Conduct in-depth technical assessments for potential land acquisitions, including detailed site visits to evaluate geotechnical conditions, infrastructure, and any site constraints or opportunities.
Analyse and interpret technical site reports, providing insight and solutions for optimal project planning and risk mitigation.
Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to assess technical risks, develop strategic recommendations, and drive solutions.
Lead cost planning and viability assessments for site preparation, infrastructure development, and remediation with a strong focus on cost savings and efficiency.
Develop and deliver comprehensive technical reports for executive teams, presenting findings and strategies for project advancement.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of industry regulations, environmental policies, and technological advancements to guide best practices across all projects.
Skills & Experience: Extensive experience in technical leadership within the residential development or land acquisition sector.
Deep understanding of due diligence, regulatory requirements, environmental policies, and risk management within property development.
Proven track record as a problem-solver, with the ability to lead and make critical decisions that impact project viability and outcomes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engagement with senior executives and technical teams.
Advanced skills in CAD/GIS and other relevant technical software, along with a strategic approach to using these tools for high-level project planning.
