Group Financial Accountant Temporary Location: Doncaster, Hybrid working 9 month Contract £65,000 Elevation's Senior Finance Interim division are excited to be working with a business based in Doncaster with a global presence as they look to recruit a Group Financial Accountant on a short term temporary rolling contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant who is looking for their next challenge and to get their foot in the door of an established global business undergoing a large transformation project.
The successful incumbent will be confident communicating with senior leadership and driving projects, from system migrations and process improvements with a real desire to make a difference and work alongside other talented finance professionals in a dedicated team.
This role is crucial in ensuring group accounting policies and regulatory standards set by both UK GAAP and IFRS are adhered to and maintained to the highest standard.
The position involves overseeing the accurate and timely reporting of annual statutory accounts and monthly Group reporting for the UK entities, with 4 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities: Engage with internal and external auditors to ensure successful completion of reviews, statutory audits, and ad hoc process reviews.
Maintain general ledger accounts in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
Prepare annual audited UK GAAP accounts Manage the monthly reporting process, ensuring accuracy, high quality, and strict adherence to deadlines.
Review, monitor, and calculate accounting measurements in line with local and Group accounting policies.
Reconcile intercompany accounts and liaise with international trading partners Work closely with the Head of Group Finance, Controlling Teams, and the CFO on current technical and operational financial issues.
Qualifications and Experience: Qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant with proven experience in a similar financial accounting role.
In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS is desirable Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to engage effectively with auditors and various stakeholders.
Proficiency in managing continuous improvement projects.
