Parkinson Lee are delighted to be partnering with a highly entrepreneurial, hyper growth, building products business in the appointment of a Group Finance Director.
Our client is one of the UK's leading businesses in their field with a turnover of circa £250M.
They have scaled significantly through acquisition and organic activity over the past decade to currently operate a portfolio that includes 18 trading entities across three strategic verticals, employing over 1,000 staff.
With plans to double the size of their EBITDA over the next 4 years, the business is looking to appoint a Group Finance Director with previous experience working of working within fast moving industrial sectors who will strategically focus on designing and implementing a first-class core accounting function that supports the future aspirations of the wider business.
Reporting to the Group CFO key responsibilities include: - Daily operational management for the finance function including all transactional activities and output.
- Accurate delivery of management information for monthly Board meetings and to support various projects and M&A activity.
- Forging core relationships with the various business unit Managing Directors and their FD business partners.
- Weekly financial and management reporting with a focus on reducing the monthly reporting schedule to close within 10 days.
- Implementation of departmental targets, budget and KPI metrics.
- Cash flow and debt management, budgeting, monthly management accounting and driving process efficiencies and continuous operational improvements to enhance the capability of the function to support the growth and demands of the business.
Person specification: - Hands-on operator who has a natural flair for mentoring and developing staff.
- Visible leader who manages the expectations of key stakeholders and builds strong internal networks across all functions.
- Experience of working within fast paced industrial environments, using informed data and MI to influence key decision-making processes.
- A true business partner to the Group CFO and Managing Director.
- Excellent communicator at all levels.
- Solid working knowledge IT tools and systems In return our client is offering an attractive executive package including salary ranging from £120k - £140k (dependant on experience), bonus, car/car allowance, pension, healthcare, etc.
