Job Description Group Accountant 4 days a week, up to 80% pro-rate.
(12 months contract) Prepare annual consolidated financial statements (including notes and narrative) in accordance with IFRS Help the Head of Group Accounting to develop the process for identifying relevant data and reporting on material sustainability matters in accordance with CSRD Monthly reporting of the consolidated balance sheet and liaison with external accountants for smaller subsidiaries Prepare annual financial statements for the German subsidiaries, in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) Prepare annual financial statements for the UK subsidiary, in accordance with FRS 102 Monitoring and aligning intercompany balances between subsidiaries Work cross functionally to ensure that the recognition of self-generated intangible assets is IFRS compliant Be a point of contact within the Group for all technical IFRS accounting matters.
Help the Head of Group Accounting to assess and implement any relevant new accounting standards and reporting requirements Maintain and update monthly IFRS adjustments Regularly update the IFRS Group accounting policies and procedures manual Be the first point of contact for subsidiary companies in the application of the Group's accounting policies Act as part of the project team in case of significant transactions, global expansion or finance improvement projects Work with external auditors to deliver clean audit opinions and efficient audit process Work cross functionally to achieve a robust control environment Drive improvements in the Group's reporting process Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Relevant accounting qualification Strong knowledge and relevant experience with IFRS technical accounting and external reporting Strong project management skills Knowledge and experience with German GAAP (preferred) Sound experience with consolidation software and ERP systems (we use Workday) Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills as collaboration across the organization is essential Passionate about building and optimizing processes University degree (BA minimum) Fluent in English, German (nice to have) Additional Information What's in it for you?
