AEJ Management are an expanding facilities management service company, who provide security guards, cleaners, ground workers, maintenance and landscapers to retail, shopping, trade, leisure and business parks across the UK.
Within the business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Groundworker to join the team.
This will be a home-based role, travelling across the UK - using our Chelmsford Head Office as a base to complete your weekly rota and tasks.
As such, it will require flexibility from you, for overnight stays throughout the working week (1-3 nights per week).
Please note that some of the work we do also requires us to work through the night, so you must be willing to work both day and night shifts.
Benefits Pay: £19 - £20 per hour (ranging, depending on days/nights worked) Hours: 48 per week (minimum with days/nights generally being a max of 10 hrs) Vehicle: Company van provided along with fuel card Pension: Auto-enrolment with Penfold Pensions Hols: 20 days per year (plus BH) plus 1 extra day for the week of your birthday What do I need to do… As a Groundworker, you are responsible for: General construction work in line with client requirements, including paving, kerbing, installing bollards / machines / equipment, foundation work, drainage, finishing works, surfacing, concreting etc.
Ensuring full compliance with company and on-site client health and safety policy and requirements.
Delivering a high-quality work in line with company and client expectations.
Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required Experience Skills required: Minimum of 12 months experience of working in grounds maintenance field.
Experience of using a range of power tools and equipment.
CSCS Card.
Ability to work at heights.
Full driving licence.
This role will require working away from home on a planned basis.
Hotel accommodation and subsistence allowance is provided in line with our Expense Policy.
