What You'll DoAs a Grid Connections Manager, you'll be the driving force behind connecting new renewable energy projects to the grid.
Collaborating with Origination, Development, Deployment, and Construction teams, you'll coordinate stakeholders to deliver timely, seamless grid connections.Your day-to-dayLead the grid connection process, from evaluating opportunities to ensuring projects are live and exporting power.Partner with industry stakeholders like NESO, TNOs, and DNOs, keeping a pulse on market changes and system updates.Review contractor designs, applications, and commissioning schedules to avoid delays.Manage grid connection contracts, technical proposals, and safety protocols for utility-scale projects.About youWe're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with exceptional communication skills:Experience: Multiple years in grid connections, ideally within renewables (onshore wind experience is a big plus).Knowledge: Deep understanding of UK transmission/distribution operations and grid connection processes.Qualifications: A degree in electrical engineering (or similar) and substantial experience in electricity transmission and distribution.Soft Skills: A clear communicator who can explain technical concepts, negotiate contracts, and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Bonus points if you've worked in a renewable energy company, DNO, IDNO, or ICP environment!BenefitsBase salary up to £80,000Car allowance up to £6,000Hybrid working 3 days a week in Southampton/BournemouthBonus up to 10% annual salaryGenerous pension contribution, private healthcare, discounts and more.Want to take your renewables career to the next level?
