Grid Connection Manager

Grid Connections Manager Remote office presence required in London 2 days every fortnight - travel & Accomodation able to be expensed £60,000-110,000 dependent on experience + bonus & benefits MDE is recruiting on behalf of a dynamic IDNO to help grow their grid team with the strategic addition of a Grid Connections Manager.
This organisation focuses on acquiring and managing electrical connections for a wide range of new build projects, including electric vehicle charging stations, data centres, battery storage systems, commercial and industrial sites, and residential developments.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the delivery team to secure grid connections during project development.
Manage and submit grid applications efficiently, ensuring smooth progress.
Review contractor designs and commissioning schedules to prevent grid-related delays.
Analyse data to identify new grid connection opportunities.
Optimise design interfaces and contracts within ICP/DNO/EPC/MOP/SCADA frameworks.
Implement innovative technologies and reduce carbon impact as projects expand.
Qualifications / Experience: Extensive experience with grid connections for renewable energy projects and large-scale infrastructure.
Strong background in project development, design, and operational engineering.
Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in the power industry.
Expertise in grid connection processes and contract negotiations.
Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve project goals.
Familiarity with safety protocols for utility-scale electrical generation projects.
Valid UK driving licence, with 7+ years in a relevant, fast-paced role.
Excellent organisational, communication, and independent work skills.
