Location:University of Leeds Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 40 Hours Job Type:Permanent / Full Time Benefits: Up to 33 days paid annual leave, Excellent Company Pension, Free Life Assurance6 times annual salary, Training and Development, Discounted Private Health Care Scheme, Discounted Gym Membership and BUPA Health Assessments The Water Hygiene Technician will be responsible for: The monitoring inspections will involve temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection, showerhead disinfection, and logbook auditing Undertake monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274 The inspections will be undertaken using a PDA and web based electronic log book system Undertake other water hygiene related tasks as required including Monitoring, Maintenance and Remediation works The role will involve working in a multi-site capacity therefore you must be prepared to travel throughout the region Please note that Applicants will not be expected to meet any (or all) of the desirable criteria to be considered for interview.

About You Essential Criteria Demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role Current Full UK Drivers Licence Desirable Criteria Demonstrate previous experience in related water system remediation/maintenance works City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training Demonstrate plumbing qualification, C&G Level 1, 2 or above Demonstrate working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material (HSC ACoP L8, HSG 274, Water Regulations) Previous experience in the maintenance, servicing and testing of Chemical Water Treatment services A disclosure may be requested if security clearance is required by 3rd party clients and a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
