Graduate Rates Trader - Immediate start ONLY Scope of the role This is a rare opportunity for a graduate to join B2C2 and to assume trading responsibility within their first 6 months.
You will learn from experienced traditional finance and crypto professionals with combined experience of 50+ years alone within the crypto industry.
B2C2's Funding Desk is London-based, and responsible for a variety of products, strategies, and business lines, each related to trading interest rates.
The desk generates P&L through a variety of sell-side OTC client flow, and proprietary high-frequency trading.
We extract the interest rate component of derivatives by creating delta-neutral structures – products we trade include futures, forwards, CFDs, spot, loans, plus novel crypto products.
Funding impacts every trade, whether in crypto or traditional finance – so this role offers a unique perspective from which to build broad trading knowledge.
It's one of the fastest growing areas of the firm.
Roles and responsibilities Manage the overall market risk of the Funding Desk portfolio - rates, liquidity, liquidation, credit, and delta risks.
Manage the algorithms for proprietary strategies on crypto exchanges Interact with clients for OTC trading - pricing, quoting, execution, and product queries.
Monitor opportunities and dislocations in markets as they present themselves, taking decisive action to capture value.
Work closely with Tech and Operations to ensure smooth 24/7 trading Preferable, but not essential: use python for quantitative research, automation, and enhancing/building systematic strategies What we're looking for: Completed university degree in a numerical subject Clear communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced fluid environment and handle pressure in such an environment Keen interest in financial and crypto markets An entrepreneurial mindset and a natural intuition for risk Highly determined individual, with an eagerness to learn Preferable, but not essential: good python programming skills, especially pandas Requirements: Demonstration of honesty, integrity and good reputation Excellent teamwork and relationship management skills and a demonstrated ability to work both on own initiative and as part of a team Ability to develop new skills and understand market developments as required Aware of the importance of considering risk management and compliance issues.
