This role is perfect for graduates who want to gain real classroom experience and develop essential skills before pursuing a teaching qualification.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students, building up your knowledge and confidence to excel in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering lessons, working one-on-one and with small groups of students to enhance their learning.
Assist with lesson planning and classroom preparation, gaining insight into daily teaching tasks.
Provide tailored support to students who may need additional help with literacy, numeracy, or other key areas.
Actively engage with students, encouraging positive behaviour and supporting their social and emotional development.
Help monitor and track student progress, working with teachers to ensure all students reach their potential.
Develop your classroom management skills and get a taste of what it's like to lead a class.
About You: A recent graduate with a degree in any subject (core subjects such as English, Maths, or Science are particularly beneficial).
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching and a commitment to gaining classroom experience.
Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and a positive, proactive attitude.
Previous experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is desirable but not essential.
A resilient, adaptable mindset and a willingness to learn from experienced educators.
