Teaching Personnel are collaborating with secondary schools in Newport and Cwmbran to recruit graduates keen on gaining experience as SEN Teaching Assistants .
These schools provide a supportive environment with skilled staff and excellent facilities, catering to students aged 11-16 with additional learning needs .
These include challenges such as learning difficulties , autism , sensory impairments , physical disabilities , and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
We are seeking graduates from all disciplines, but in particular would welcome applications from graduates with backgrounds in Psychology , Education , Sports Coaching , or Health and Social Care.
Details: - Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with additional learning needs - £84 - £110 per day (depending on experience) - Full time and part time hours available - Start dates in December and January This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic setting, equipping you with valuable skills and strategies to support a wide range of Special Educational Needs.

Pay begins at £84 per day, with the potential to earn up to £110 per day for those who excel in the role.
Responsibilities: Provide support to students with additional learning needs in a classroom setting, assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities Implement and follow individualised education plans (IEPs) for each student, ensuring their specific needs are met Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive social interactions Support students in developing their communication and social skills Collaborate with the teaching team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher Help with administrative tasks related to student records and documentation Requirements: Degree of any subject specialism Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with additional learning needs Teaching Personnel will help you apply for your DBS and EWC registation during the interview process.
