SEN Teaching Assistant Newham ASAP Start Are you a recent graduate with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs?
We have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Newham , East London, starting ASAP .
As an SEN Teaching Assistant , you will be an integral part of a dedicated team, working closely with students who have a range of learning needs, including autism, dyslexia, and emotional or behavioural challenges.
This role is perfect for someone who is committed to ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
You will provide tailored support to students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs.
Working closely with the class teacher, you will help deliver engaging lessons that are accessible to students with SEN, ensuring they are fully included in the classroom experience.
Your support will also extend to helping students develop their social and emotional skills, building their confidence, and managing any challenges they may face throughout the school day.
In addition to academic support, you will assist with classroom management, contributing to a calm, positive, and productive learning environment.
You will be instrumental in maintaining a space where all students can thrive and succeed.
Regular feedback sessions with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and teaching staff will ensure that each students progress is monitored and supported.
To thrive in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you should have a strong passion for working with students with additional needs, along with the empathy and patience to support their personal and academic development.
While prior experience in an SEN setting is desirable, it is not essential.
