Your role: We are looking for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer for our Water team to be based in Belfast , joining our 2025 Graduate Programme.
As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your engineering expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment.
In this role, you will provide mechanical engineering support across the entire project lifecycle, from the initial planning stages (Front-End Engineering Design) to detailed design, installation, and construction support.
You will be involved in real-world Stantec projects, contributing to their successful completion through tasks like data analysis, digital modeling (AutoCAD, REVIT), calculations, report contributions, and more.
You will also gain valuable experience through potential site visits and by working alongside engineers to develop effective solutions that meet client needs and solve problems.
Stantec have recently appointed with Joint Venture partner Ryan Hanley to the Irish Water Engineering Design Services Framework.
The Joint Venture will support Irish Waters Business Plan objectives up to 2027, which will see a €3.5bn investment in asset delivery across three primary portfolios: Wastewater Capital, Networks and Water Capital.

Along with a minimum of a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering and a keen interest in the Water sector, you'll be:- A collaborator: Youll love to work effectively with lots of different people at different levels, all inputting their part towards a shared goal.
