In doing so, its core objective is to assist clients and colleagues alike in "Making Sustainability Happen".  Through continued growth and success, WA/SLR is looking to recruit graduate ecologists into its established ecology team at its office in Stoke on Trent.
The opportunity: To meet increased demand, we are looking to increase our staff numbers to cover site surveys across the Midlands and South, with employees to be based at our office in Stoke-on-Trent.
The position will start around March 2025.
In this exciting role you will: Assist experienced ecologists with protected species surveys (and gain skills of your own in doing so); Be exposed to the full breadth of ecological consultancy in a short space of time; Gain insights into the planning system and infrastructure development in the UK; As the successful candidate you will: Hold a degree in ecology or a related discipline; Hold, or be working towards, 'qualifying member' status, or higher, of CIEEM.
Have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to develop new ecology field skills, including during unsocial hours (e.g.
overnight bat surveys) and regularly away from home (expenses paid).
Be able to work effectively as part of a team; A full UK driving licence.
