Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a leading construction and civil engineering firm in Northern Ireland seeking to recruit a Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer.
They are renowned for their wide array of products and services within the construction sector.
The company has garnered considerable success by participating in numerous prestigious projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
It is well-regarded for its proficiency in precast concrete solutions, civil engineering, and infrastructure development.
Their projects cover various sectors such as transportation, utilities, and commercial construction, with notable works including railways, tunnels, and road improvements.
Your new role The ideal candidate for the Graduate Engineering role will join their team in Magherafelt office, engaging in various tasks such as: Designing structural precast concrete products with fibre reinforcement.
Acquiring new programming skills.
Streamlining and optimising calculations for improved in research projects involving full-scale manufacturing and testing new materials to verify design accuracy.
Collaborating with experienced engineers in a lab setting on low carbon concrete design and manufacturing research.
Testing low carbon concrete alternatives in a factory environment.
Utilising advanced equipment to assess the properties of fresh and hardened concrete.
Documenting test data and contributing to technical reports and meetings.
Continuously learning and applying knowledge to solve complex problems.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in the Graduate Engineering role, our client requires a candidate who has a Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with excellent computer skills with a good knowledge of CAD software and MS would be desirable if the candidate has the ability to prioritise work and manage several tasks concurrently, possess excellent communication skills and with a Full UK Driving licence.
