An existing specialism in Frailty is not required for this role, but studying for the diploma will be a pre-requisite of the role, with this paid for by the provider.
Salary – £10,000 per 4-hour session Location – Scarborough (occasionally covering Ryedale and Whitby areas) The provider – Not-for-profit organisation owned by all of York's GP practices Delivering urgent care services in collaboration with the hospitals and GP practices in York, Scarborough, Whitby, Malton and Selby Also provide community diagnostic centres with the aim of shifting services out of hospitals and into the community 'We are part of the system, and we are here to stay' Your role – 2-4 sessions per week but full-time may be available A typical day will be a maximum of five visits with most of these in and around Scarborough Completing clinical assessments and elements of comprehensive geriatric assessments (with support from York Hospital-based Geriatrician) Developing personalised treatment plans alongside the MDT Typically caring for patients for around five days, with a soft limit of fourteen days Typical working hours will be 8.30-5.00 with 30-minute lunch but can be flexible on start and finish times Daily morning huddle and 3pm board meeting to review the day's cases and plan tomorrow's You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List The benefits – 6 weeks' annual leave Study leave BMA model contract NHS pension Next Steps For further details on this exceptional role, please click the Apply Now button.
