The role is based across both our Ewyas Harold& Peterchurch Surgeries Main duties of the job Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by Lead Nurse and GPsCytology Wound care /Ulcer Care/DopplerRemoval of SuturesNew Patient Medicals/UrinalysisTravel ClinicECGsAsthma/Peak Flow Readings/SpirometryVenepunctureHypertension ManagementRoutine & Childhood immunisationsChaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another ClinicianAssisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittingsRequesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabsFollowing agreed clinical protocols with referral to Lead Nurse or GPs as appropriateChronic Disease Management ClinicsClean and sterilise equipment using autoclave monitoring autoclaveMaintaining and cleaning equipment used by the Nurses and GPsMaintaining GP and Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as requiredMaintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment roomsOrdering of Health Promotion LiteratureOrdering of vaccinations to maintain stock levelsParticipation in administrative systems in the PracticeAt all times there will be a need to maintain accurate records A duty to advise senior nurses of potential problems or errors within the range of assigned tasksAttend and participate in any Practice meetings when required.On occasion there may be a requirement to undertake home visitsAny other delegated duties appropriate to the post About us Golden ValleySurgery is a rural practice, caring for approx.
