Job summary The Pontypool Medical Centre is a well-established surgery with approximately 18,500 patients located in Pontypool, currently have a fantastic opportunity for a General Practitionerto join their close knit teams.
You will work autonomously alongside our welcomingand supportive Nursing and Administration team.An excellent opportunity todevelop skills and broaden experience within this proactive surgery.We offer the oppourtunity to work alongside our 2 Pharmacists, 3 ANP's, Home-visiting paramedic and experienced admin team.
Main duties of the job Your responsibilities as a General Practitioner; The following are the core responsibilities of the General Practitioner.
There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levelsPerform clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose and monitor conditions Carry out patient consultations at home and within the surgery Monitor patients' conditions and wellbeing Carry out clinical examinations Diagnose and treat various illnesses/ailments Liaise with other healthcare professionals (, midwives, pharmacists, health visitors and psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams Opportunity to become involved with Enhanced Services such as- Minor Surgery/Joint Injections- IUD/Implants- Diabetes- Substance Misuse ClinicWith our existing team including two GP trainers there is plenty of scope to increase your own skills and also become involved in the training of new clinicians About us We continue to prioritise patient care and be a great employer.So we are looking for clinicians that want to be part of that change and be instrumental in moving the surgery and services forward.
