Job summary Nuffield House Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for a GP assistant (GPA) to join our team on a full-time basis for hours per week we are able to be flexible to suit the right person.
The GPA position is a support role, covering administrative tasks and, if appropriate, some basic clinical duties, to assist the GPs and Nursing team enabling them to make the best use of consultation time.
The post-holder will form part of our multi-disciplinary, primary-care team and contribute to the smooth running of the surgery.

Main duties of the job Managing incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence.
Extracting information from clinical documents that require coding.
Arranging appointments, referrals, tests and follow-up appointments.
Basic clinical duties to support the nursing team.
Supporting patient experience by reiterating information from the GP.
About us Nuffield House Surgery is situated in a modern purpose-built building in Harlow, west Essex on the border of Hertfordshire, within easy access of the M11 and A14.
We are a large training practice, with a patient list size of over 12,000.
Our practice team is made up of 5 GP partners, 1 salaried GP and a dynamic clinical support team including 2 advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, a healthcare assistant and an extensive administrative team.
We work closely with the other practices in our PCN.
Recent CQC rating of Good across all domains.
We are a SystmOne practice complimented by AccuRx and Ardens.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential None Experience Essential Administrative experience.
HCA experience.
strong organisational skills.
IT skills, including experience of working with a clinical system.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly manner.
Ability to understand the need to maintain confidentiality and data security, at all times.
Ability to multi-task and to work accurately under pressure.
Ability to work in a team as well as being comfortable working independently.
