Job summary A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a GP assistant to join our team at Chelmer Medical Partnership, on a part time basis for 20-hours per week.
This role will be based at Tennyson House Surgery and hours will be Monday and Thursday, with a 30-minute unpaid break.
General practice assistants (GPAs) form part of a multi-disciplinary team within primary care to provide a support role within our duty hub, carrying out administrative tasks, and care navigating.

Main duties of the job Triaging and booking appointments as appropriate as part of the duty hub team, using the AccuRx triage system.
Sending referrals to Pharmacy First and MECs.
Managing all internal and external enquiries in an effective manner.
Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare records.
Supporting patient experience by reiterating information from the GP.
Assisting with practice tasks.
Supporting the wider practice team where required.
