We are looking for an enthusiastic, thorough, confident Governance, Compliance & Risk Officer to join our Compliance & Risk team based in Bolton.

The Governance, Compliance & Risk Officer role plays a crucial role in covering, amongst other things, compliance with all non-clinical aspects of NHS healthcare regulations and reporting and UK statutory requirements in relation to data and information security.
You'll be passionate in conducting thorough assessments of processes and reporting systems to monitor and enhance compliance with relevant laws and regulations whilst having the passion to stay updated on changes in NHS specific and UK statutory regulations and reporting requirements and emerging risks.
This is a key role within our compliance & risk function and the right individual will need to demonstrate consistency, performance, and great attention to detail from the outset.
Salary and benefits: Up to £40,000 per annum (dependant on experience) 37.5 hrs per week Mon Fri Annual pay reviews Town centre location Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

Who are we looking for?
Previous experience of a governance and compliance role, ideally within the healthcare sector.
A solid understanding of relevant UK laws and environmental compliance requirements, ideally within the healthcare sector (but not essential).
Knowledge of Corporate Governance Frameworks, including the UK Corporate Governance Code.
A good understanding of Board Assurance Frameworks and risk management systems.
Understanding of Risk Management Principles with practical experience of embedding RM strategies, controls, and mitigation including frameworks like ERM and ISO3100.
Experience in Integrity Management.
Experience in Project Management.
Policy Development and Implementation.
Technological proficiency including RM and Compliance Software + Analysis and Reporting Tools A detail-orientated approach, with strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting and applying complex regulations.
Experience in conducting assessments to ensure compliance with governance and quality standards.
Have proven interpersonal and communication skills to peer group and Board level.
Be an effective and supportive team member, but with the ability to challenge and/or provide constructive feedback where necessary.
Have flexibility with the ability to travel as this role will require travel to sites across the UK with at times, an overnight stay.
