Job summary The post holder will play a key role supporting the governance, patient safety and complaints processes within the Division of Surgery across the Bristol and Weston sites.
The post holder will provide support across the Division on all aspects of patient safety, incidents, complaints and governance issues as they relate to staff, managers and clinical governance teams, ensuring the Division is compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements such as the Care Quality Commission Standards and Trust policies and procedures.

Person Specification Knowledge and Experience Essential Experience of working with systems and databases Experience of data input and extraction Knowledge and understanding of Governance and the key components (E)Experience of working in a large multi professional organisation Knowledge and understanding of the NHS, and CQC, (Clinical Quality Commission) Experience of working in a large multi professional organisation Desirable Experience of working within a clinical environment Skills and Abilities Essential Ability to produce analytical reports, identifying recommendations for improvements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven ability to communicate effectively and sensitively at all levels, verbally and in writing.
Ability to extract information from databases/spreadsheets.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office components and Webmaster Ability to generate reports using email, databases, spreadsheets and word Ability to use initiative and drive to achieve results.
Ability to manage own workload and coordinate work of others to ensure deadlines are achieved.
Qualifications and Training Desirable Educated to degree level or equivalent
