Stafforce are recruiting a Goods Inward Operative with a fork lift licence for a temporary to permanent role based in Peterlee.
The Goods Inward Operative ensures the smooth receipt, inspection and storage of incoming goods.
Maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
Operating a forklift is a key part of the role to move and store goods appropriately.
A valid external FLT licence and experience using it is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities: Goods Receipt & Inspection Receive deliveries of goods and materials, checking documentation for accuracy.
Inspect items for quality, ensuring they meet company standards.
Report any discrepancies or damages to the relevant department.Inventory Management Accurately log incoming goods into the inventory management system.
Label and store goods in designated areas, ensuring proper organization.
Conduct periodic stock checks to verify inventory accuracy.Forklift Operation Safely operate forklifts (counterbalance/reach truck, etc.)
to unload deliveries and move stock.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines while operating machinery.
Conduct daily pre-use checks on forklifts to ensure proper functioning.
Skills & Qualifications: Essential: Valid external counterbalance forklift license Previous experience in a goods-inward, warehouse, or logistics role.
Basic computer skills for inventory logging.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.Hours of work: Monday to Friday (Apply online only) with a 1430 finish on a Friday.
Pay: £15 per hour Interviews to be held as soon as possible.
