Volkswagen is the world's largest car manufacturer and the major brand within the Volkswagen Group, which includes Bentley, Porsche, Audi, Skoda, and Seat-Cupra.
The auto industry is facing huge disruption with the transition to new power sources and an emerging D2C model that changes the relationship with customers and marketing.
Your role will be to lead the strategic output of the agency for the Volkswagen brand.
You will oversee a lean team of 2 experienced strategists while also providing strategic input to other areas of the wider Volkswagen team.
The Strategy Partner is a key role in client relationships with frequent exposure to C-suite clients and board-level projects.
The core scope of the team is the development and implementation of the global communication and media strategy at a brand level.
You will lead the development of thought leadership, the overall strategic approach for media, and strategies for major global campaigns within the comms roadmap alongside other team members.
We do not activate from the center, but we must deliver top-to-bottom strategies that connect to asset development and direct campaign activation in the market.
You will also be responsible for developing best practice guidelines for media effectiveness, creating a data-led approach to brand building and performance driving, and advising local markets on their strategic planning.
For each of these projects, you will be supported by the Head of Strategy and specialist area experts.
You will report to the Head of Strategy and Global Account Lead and will work in an integrated team with Omnicom counterparts in creative (DDB), performance (OPMG/RAPP), and others to create 360 consumer journeys.
