MacGregor Black is currently working with a Leading Premium Housewares brand , on the search for a passionate and analytical Global Product Manager . This is a permanent role with hybrid working opportunities, based in Hampshire. As the global product manager , you champion the voice of the consumer internally to assist in further establishing the brands proposition globally as a trusted brand of choice.
Key Responsibilities As a Global Product Manager, you will perform market research and analyse consumer trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies to uncover opportunities and guide informed decision-making. Develop and execute category strategies and plans aimed at achieving sales and profitability goals. Oversee the product roadmap and portfolio, implement product strategies, coordinate organizational efforts to bring products to market, and plan and manage product launches. Track market dynamics such as consumer behaviour, industry trends, and regulatory updates to refine category strategies as needed. Partner with the marketing team to design and implement promotional campaigns that drive sales and enhance brand visibility. Evaluate sales data and performance metrics to pinpoint areas for improvement and provide actionable, data-driven insights. Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in product development, and emerging technologies relevant to the category. Offer guidance and support to cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, to ensure effective execution of category strategies. Establish and continuously refine a global pricing strategy for the brand. Conduct competitor research and recommend competitive pricing and promotional activities. Develop merchandising strategies to optimize shelf layouts and product displays. Regularly review the product portfolio and lead the management of the product lifecycle. Take ownership of budget planning and revenue generation for the product categories. Collaborate closely with operational and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of products that meet cost, quality, and market requirements. Monitor the margin mix across the assortment and propose value-engineering initiatives where necessary. Comply with company policies and procedures, maintaining professionalism and a commitment to excellent customer service at all times. Provide additional support to the business as needed. Demonstrated experience in category or product management, with a proven history of driving sales growth and enhancing profitability. Proficient in market research methodologies and familiar with a variety of market research tools. Advanced project management skills, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently. Excellent communication and presentation skills to clearly convey category strategies and plans to stakeholders. Skilled in utilizing data analysis tools and software to interpret and analyse sales performance data. Comprehensive knowledge of retail and consumer behaviour trends, including expertise in e-commerce and digital marketing. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to evolving market conditions.
