SUMMARY The Global Category Director, Consumables role will drive strategic initiatives and innovative product development to help deliver a holistic Gozney brand experience.
This role requires a strong leader that can get deep into market dynamics and consumer insights to create impactful brand positioning and unlock new opportunities for growth.
The ideal candidate will guide cross-functional teams in executing brand strategies and campaigns that align with business objectives, while identifying new market opportunities to enhance brand equity and increase market share.
The category director is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance consumer experience, drive sales, and align the brand's market positioning with the company's overall objectives focusing on ensuring that the products (current and new), are aligned with our hardgoods strategies and brought to life in our recipe and content creation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Category Strategy: Develop brand positioning, long range plans and branded campaigns based on market trends and consumer insights.
Set brand objectives and develop strategic opportunities for growth.
Go To Market: Create a vision for the consumables category, develop and maintain the innovation pipeline, positioning, target audience and sales strategy for all Gozney consumables that aligns with our seasonal GTM calendar.
New Product Development: Drive recipe development, trial and adoption of new sauces, marinades, rubs and dough with trusted 3rd.

Research and find the best partners globally to fulfill our 3-5 year vision.
Category Operations: Monitor brand performance and profitability, manage the brand budget, and analyze market and brand data.
Manage the product lifecycle from new product introduction to discontinuation.
Identify slow-moving items and develop strategies to reduce excess inventory.
Field Sales: Work with Sales leaders to identify sales opportunities, build our IMS strategy for consumables, create promotional plans, and deliver our plan.
Insights & Analytics: Conduct regular consumer research to understand purchasing behaviors and preferences.
Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory requirements in the consumables space.
Utilize insights to enhance product offerings and ensure competitive positioning in the market.
Brand Loyalty: Leverage our influencers, social platforms and consume base to increase brand affinity, drive trial, and encourage repeat purchases.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in category management, product management, or merchandising, preferably in the consumables or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector.
Proven track record of driving category growth and achieving business targets.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Proficient in retail analytics tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Tableau).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and partners.
