Working closely with management teams, the business has an exceptionally strong track record in growing businesses and in achieving substantial capital gains for its investors.
Description We are currently seeking to recruit a Principal into the Portfolio Operations team to work closely with the management team of a luxury goods portfolio company.
This individual will support and influence across all areas of the business including the oversight of strategic, operational, financial, people and governance matters across the company.
You will work with the portfolio company executive management team to ensure both routine and ad-hoc initiatives are progressed, monitored, and properly reported.
Skills With a strong academic background, high degree of numeracy and an exceptional track record in your career to date, you may have followed a variety of career paths, but will probably have commenced your career with a leading investment bank in M&A and/or have gained extensive financial experience in a strategic role with a leading luxury goods company or in a similar portfolio role in private equity.
Prior experience in a more hands on general management role in a smaller more entrepreneurial company, possibly with a Founder still involved, would also be of interest, again combined with a strong financial background.
Candidates must have German language capability.
Candidates should be used to personally "getting things done" and have the EQ, interpersonal skills, gravitas, presence, and credibility necessary to command the attention and respect of the portfolio business management team.
This person must also be able to demonstrate strong business judgement including the ability to prepare and draw conclusions from data and commercial and financial analysis.
It is expected that the individual will be London based, but with the need to travel to Germany on a regular basis.
